The Gaston County Museum of Art & History will present Gaston County singer/songwriter Rebecca Rippy from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at its renovated train Depot, located at 205 W. Main St., Dallas, the final concert of its "Music at the Depot: Winter Acoustic Series."

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 or the day of the show for $13. Advanced tickets are encouraged because seating is limited.

Rippy crafts lyrics that are very specifically — and provocatively — about her experiences, her relationships and what matters most in her life. On "Telling Stories," her second album, she spins tales around those who mean the most to her and uses personal revelations to explore universal truths.

The Depot, built in 1903, was originally the Carolina and Northwestern Train Depot located in Dallas on Main Street, a few blocks south of the museum. It was moved to its current location in 1977, where it was used as an art center. Recently, it has been renovated and renamed the Anne Biggers Furr Learning Station. In addition to music events, the Depot also hosts art exhibits, programs and other museum functions.
