Media: Photography, color and black and white.

Contact: See his photography online at FAR-Photography.com, which has additional Internet links. E-mail him at Frein40812@aol.com.

Studio: A 1,200-square-foot pole barn located behind his rural home. Reinecke helped build the pole barn. "All my neighbors thought I was going to have horses," he says.

His work: Reinecke earns his living primarily doing industrial and commercial photography, but says his goal "is to retire and just do fine-arts photography." He went into business for himself in 1990. "Because of my constant experimentation in the fine arts realm, I can take what I've learned into the commercial realm and it makes me a better photographer," he says. Reinecke has several ongoing art photography projects. "Things can percolate in my head for a month or two," he says.

Since he's fascinated by blurred motion, "whether it's accidental or on purpose," an idea to combine masks and blurred motion emerged. He experimented with time exposures, colored lights and camera movement to create a series of mask photographs. Reinecke currently is working to get his fine-arts photography exhibited by galleries outside of the West Michigan area.

Background: Reinecke turned a photography hobby into a profession after he got out of the United States Army. He has an associate's degree in graphic arts from Muskegon Community College and a bachelor of fine arts degree from Central Michigan University. He also worked eight years as a staff photographer for Radium Photo in Muskegon.

Accomplishments: Reinecke was one of 10 artists featured in a 2009 exhibit at the Muskegon Museum of Art titled Industrial Arts: West Michigan. His fine-arts work has consistently been accepted for the art museum's annual regional juried exhibition. He also has work in the museum's permanent collection as well as in the Knoll Group corporate collection and the Grand Valley State University collection.
